Lead Financial Controller

We are searching for an experienced

Lead Financial Controller,

who will serve as a

strategic partner across two divisions of a

global multinational production firm


This is a hybrid position, based in Van Nuys, CA, reporting to our Director of Commercial Finance. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving strategic financial planning, pricing, forecasting, and analysis to support the organization’s global operations and growth initiatives.


Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine the company’s financial strategy and long-term financial plan.

  • Provide insights and recommendations on financial implications of business decisions to enhance profitability and efficiency.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.

  • Lead the development of accurate and comprehensive financial forecasts, identifying key drivers and potential risks.

Financial Analysis:

  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling, to support decision-making processes.

  • Provide regular reports and insights to management on key financial metrics and performance against targets.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with diverse departments, such as Operations, Sales, and Marketing, to gather relevant data and insights for financial planning purposes.

  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure alignment between financial planning and actual results.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; required

  • MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
