Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Dayton, Nevada

Salary: $80-100K plus bonus

Job Summary: The Production Engineer will have a crucial role in the creation and development process of mechanical systems and components. The primary responsibilities will involve producing accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and models through the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for documenting, designing, and enhancing the manufacturing processes required for both current and future product designs.


  • Create precise 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, part designs, and assembly drawings using CAD software such as OnShape and Solidworks.
  • Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and other technical documents to produce accurate and detailed drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, best practices, and standards for mechanical drafting and design.
  • Transform conceptual models into practical and functional product drawings that can be manufactured.
  • Participate in and manage design reviews to identify and address potential issues related to assembly, manufacturability, and performance.
  • Thoroughly document existing manufacturing processes, including equipment used, workflow, and time cycles.
  • Improve existing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety and implement these enhancements.
  • Establish and design new manufacturing processes for upcoming products, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Maintain required documentation, processes, and forms in adherence to ISO 9000.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation such as bill of materials (BOMs), drawings, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, manufacturing, procurement, and others as needed, to ensure seamless product development and implementation.
  • Implement lean methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Engage and educate employees in continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of ongoing development.
  • Lead training sessions to identify improvement opportunities and implement collaborative solutions.

Education & Experience:

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

· 3-5 years of experience in mechanical/engineering design, including new product development and documentation, is necessary.

· Previous experience in designing and manufacturing heavy-duty industrial products is highly desirable.

· Proficiency in lean manufacturing tools and utilization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is required.

· Experience with Syteline is a plus.
