Improvement Facilitator

A leading and reputable company is offering an opportunity for an Improvement Facilitator in the Fort Wayne, IN region at a plant that specializes in process manufacturing. This position has become available due to an internal transfer. The company offers excellent benefits including a 401K plan with a generous 100% match on contributions up to 6%, with an additional 3% contribution from the company. There is also a potential for a 15% bonus and 168 hours of paid time off (PTO) that can be accrued monthly. Relocation is also an option for this role. As an Improvement Facilitator, you will collaborate with your team to ensure that continuous learning and improvement is taking place every day, resulting in sustainable world-class performance.


  • Display leadership and expertise in company performance system best practices.
  • Guide the implementation of the company performance system and drive the cultural shift towards managing through pillars.
  • Support and coordinate with plant pillar and platform leads for areas such as 5S, Safety, Planned Maintenance, and Focused Improvement.
  • Engage and mentor all associates through hands-on training and quality audits.
  • Monitor the timeline of Sprint Plan and engage pillar leads and plant leadership to ensure successful completion.
  • Lead the implementation of Reliability Improvement Plans (RIP) by establishing action plans and scheduling follow-up meetings.
  • Coach teams in essential skills such as giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communication, and external interactions.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to establish a culture of Autonomous Maintenance and adherence to centerline standards.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Continuous Improvement environment, utilizing TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other related process improvement systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mentoring teams and individuals.
  • More than 5 years of experience in root-cause analysis, data collection, and utilization of TPM/ company performance system concepts such as “Why, Why/ How, How” and Phenomena Thinking.
