Plating Production Lead


Well-established company with a prominent share of the U.S. market in their industry is seeking a Plating Production Lead in Atlanta, GA. This role will oversee the plating department’s day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, production, and quality standards are met. The position also involves production planning and scheduling. The Plating Production Lead will supervise a team of 12 employees and work day shift hours, Monday to Thursday, with some hours on Friday.   1. Coordinate daily scheduling and optimize employee utilization.
  2. Ensure compliance with plating chemical process controls.
  3. Identify and implement process optimization measures.
  4. Supervise electroplating, rack stripping, finishing, and product inspection activities.
  5. Ensure adherence to production plating procedures and maintain process control.
  6. Implement corrective actions for plating process improvement.
  7. Manage and coordinate continuous improvement projects.
  8. Assist in maintaining quality system requirements.
  9. Provide training and necessary tools to plating personnel for process maintenance.
  10. Ensure completion of preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
  11. Train lab personnel in current analytical techniques and procedures.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a chemical-related field preferred.
  2. At least 2 years of plating-related supervision experience in a manufacturing environment for Manufacturing Supervisor role.
  3. At least 2 years of managerial-level experience with plating in a manufacturing environment for Manufacturing Manager role.
  4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
  5. Strong numerical skills and ability to perform basic calculations.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee must also have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
