Night Shift Maintenance Lead

A well-known organization is offering an exciting opportunity for a night shift Maintenance Lead at their manufacturing facility in Toledo, OH. This role will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance department, production lines, and associated equipment. The Maintenance Lead will be responsible for maintaining the preventative maintenance system, improving safety and uptime goals, and managing maintenance expenses. Other key responsibilities include tracking equipment performance, prioritizing repairs and improvements, providing technical guidance to mechanical craftsmen, and supporting maintenance and capital projects. The position offers an 8% bonus eligibility, which includes both base salary and overtime. Vacation is accrued monthly and there is a generous 401k match up to 9% company contribution. Relocation assistance is available for candidates nationwide. This position is open due to an internal transfer. The night shift schedule is from 6:00pm to 6:45am on a 4×4 rotation, with premium pay for unscheduled shifts.   • Lead a team of maintenance workers and oversee the installation and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Monitor production line downtime and efficiency, focusing on maintenance and mechanical trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full useful life of equipment by eliminating all causes of failure and conducting daily maintenance.
  • Train, motivate, and direct employees to follow safe and quality work practices.
  • Enforce the plant’s safety program and comply with OSHA safety regulations.
  • Take ownership of predictive and preventive maintenance activities, such as oil analysis and thermography.
  • Evaluate and optimize PM/PDM activities to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Manage equipment maintenance within budget and in accordance with union contracts and USDA regulations.
  • Read and interpret documents related to safety, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance instructions.


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience
  • Minimum 1 year of management experience
  • Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs and knowledge of Electronic and Electrical principles
