Robotics Installer

Growing company in the manufacturing industry, located in East Point, GA, has an opening for a Robotics Installer. This position is in a plant environment and involves installing robotic equipment for the assembly process. The work schedule is from 8:00am – 4:30pm with the possibility of overtime. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including a 401K with a 100% match and relocation assistance. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.


The Robotics Installer will be responsible for designing and installing automated equipment, including cell design, end of arm tooling, and fixture design. This role involves mechanical, electrical, and facilities support to ensure the efficiency and longevity of robotic and other automated equipment used in production. Duties include configuring, testing, operating, maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting robots and automated systems.


Level I

  1. Working with pneumatics and compressed air principles.
  2. Working with hydraulics and fluid mechanics principles.
  3. Working with circuits, electrical testing, and AC/DC power.
  4. Assisting in the construction of robotic equipment, collaborating with engineers.
  5. Testing robotic systems to ensure proper functionality.

Level II

  1. Installing plumbing systems and interpreting isometric drawings.
  2. Using electrical test equipment and troubleshooting robotic equipment issues.
  3. Installing and programming robotic equipment in a manufacturing facility.
  4. Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues with robotic equipment.
  5. Troubleshooting robotic systems using knowledge of various systems.
  6. Repairing robots or peripheral equipment as needed.

Level III

  1. Installing air logic controls and troubleshooting hydraulic circuits.
  2. Troubleshooting PLC systems and programming controllers.
  3. Installing, programming, and repairing programmable controllers and robot controllers.
  4. Using knowledge of fabrication equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
  5. Operating and analyzing robotics equipment.
  6. Working closely with engineers and production team to achieve desired output.
  7. Performing preventative maintenance and repairing robotic equipment.
  8. Disassembling and reassembling robots for maintenance purposes.
  9. Training others on robot installation, use, and service.


  1. Level I – High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of related experience.

  1. Level II – High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of related experience.

  1. Level III – Technical training certificates or associate degree with 6-8 years of related experience.

  1. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.

  1. Ability to perform basic math operations.

  1. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use their hands, fingers, and tools effectively. They should also be able to communicate verbally. This position requires standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling. The employee may occasionally need to lift up to 50 lbs.


The work environment can be loud and exposed to extreme heat. There may be work at high, precarious places and in various weather conditions, as well as exposure to fumes, chemicals, electrical shock, and vibration.
