This organization is one of the most well-established General Contractors in the Franklin, TN area, although not the largest. They thrive on a diverse range of clients and project types in the Mid-TN market, and prefer it that way.

Their portfolio consists of projects in the medical, public works, retail, restaurant, corporate office, educational, mixed-use, and hospitality sectors. They are located in the Brentwood/Franklin TN area and enjoy an excellent local reputation with a loyal client base.

They are currently seeking a Project Manager (and Senior Project Manager) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial projects as a Project Manager, specifically with experience in ground-up construction within a General Contractor environment.

Position:

The Construction Project Manager oversees and manages all assigned projects from start to finish, taking charge of all aspects of the process. This includes budgeting, estimating, and pricing for services, effective communication with clients and subcontractors, conflict resolution, contract writing, and supervision of field operations and safety in collaboration with the Project Team Superintendent.

All of this is done with the main objective of building and sustaining relationships with clients, staff, subcontractors, and relevant City/County entities that contribute to the organization’s success.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in a General Contractor role or a similar position (experience in commercial and light-industrial construction is preferred).
  • Familiarity and experience in commercial construction (office, retail, medical/healthcare, multifamily/hospitality).
  • Proficiency in interpreting building plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of value engineering and life cycle costing.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Procore, or similar programs.
  • A team player who can collaborate with field supervision, project management, and company administrative staff. Must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Knowledge of and experience with safety standards and management.
  • The ability to stay calm, focused, and efficient under time pressure.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership skills and the ability to set goals and tasks.
