Hospice Executive Director
As the Hospice Executive Director, your role will involve implementing company policy and mission through maintaining appropriate staffing levels, achieving set standards and goals, and ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the program(s). You will provide overall leadership, direction, growth, and cultural development for the home health/hospice. You will also oversee key aspects of the local program(s), including staffing, budgeting, leadership, and marketing.

As an Executive Director, your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing hospice operations in an overseeing capacity.
  • Creating and monitoring the annual branch budget.
  • Evaluating factors such as gross profit, market conditions, business volume/mix, competition, and operational costs.
  • Expanding the client base, both new and existing, to ensure continued growth for the branch.
  • Collaborating with the recruiter to attract and hire branch staff and clinicians.
  • Working with clinical resources to oversee patient intake and inquiries, as well as assess patient needs.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Minimum of eight years’ experience in healthcare administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospice operations management.
  • Previous involvement in budgetary responsibilities, including budget development and monitoring.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations/administration.
  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness abilities.
  • Local market experience is a PLUS!
