Director Of Sales Job Description

Job Purpose:
In charge of strategizing, developing, and overseeing all sales and marketing activities required to effectively promote products and services to customers. Responsibilities include establishing sales targets and territories, determining product lines, managing pricing strategies, overseeing sales operations, coordinating promotional efforts, guiding staff development, providing training, and conducting market research. Collaborate with departmental and cross-functional teams to fulfill assigned duties and support the company's goals.

Main Duties:

  • Formulates and executes strategic marketing and sales plans to meet corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Manages sales and marketing budgets.
  • Supervises advertising and promotional activities across various media channels.
  • Develops product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies to maximize market share.
  • Achieves profitable market share and meets industry standards and economic trends.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners.
  • Prepares marketing reports for executive management.
  • Ensures consistent corporate branding in all materials and events.
  • Manages sales forecasting and sets performance targets.
  • Oversees staffing, training, and performance evaluations for sales and marketing programs.
  • Coordinates sales distribution by establishing territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Represents the company at industry meetings to promote products.
  • Meets with key clients to maintain relationships and close deals.
  • Facilitates communication between sales department and other units.
  • Controls division expenditures to meet budget requirements.
  • Assists other departments in creating manuals and publications.
  • Generates sales reports to analyze volume, potential sales, and expansion opportunities.
  • Reviews sales performances against plans to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Directs product research and development efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of High School or Equivalent

4-6 years of experience in foodservice industry sales, including supervisory roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

6-10 years of experience in foodservice industry sales, with management and supervisory experience.
