Machine Machining Specialist
We have an excellent opportunity in Grove City, OH for a skilled CNC PROGRAMMER. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in MasterCam and have experience developing, optimizing, and refining machining programs for intricate 4- and 5-axis horizontal and vertical machining centers. Reporting to the Machining Manager, this role is crucial in ensuring the team meets production targets, on-time delivery, quality standards, and safety protocols. This is a position that requires onsite presence, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.
Duties:
· Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, GD&T specifications, and client requirements to devise the best machining strategies
· Choose the appropriate tools, cutting parameters, and workholding techniques to enhance precision and reduce cycle times
· Implement process enhancements through toolpath optimization, tooling upgrades, and standardized programming methods
· Develop, revise, validate, and optimize CNC programs for 4- and 5-axis horizontal and vertical machining centers
· Collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and production leaders to validate programs and ensure smooth setup on the manufacturing floor
· Conduct trial runs and troubleshoot programming issues, toolpath errors, and post-processor adjustments
· Maintain program records, revision control, and systematic file organization
· Assist in fixture design considerations to improve manufacturability and repeatability
· Perform additional tasks as requested
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years experience as a Setup Machinist
· Minimum of 3 years experience as a CNC Programmer using MasterCam (or similar CAD/CAM software)
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, 3D CAD models, and GD&T
· Broad understanding of CNC machines, tooling, workholding, and various metal types
· Familiarity with G & M code for multiple control brands; preference for experience with Fanuc
