Power Systems Engineer

We have an opening for a dynamic Power Systems Engineer with a cutting-edge technology company in Santa Clara, CA. This role involves cutting-edge power electronics, power conversion, AC/DC, DC/DC, HVDC/DC, inverter-based systems, and next-gen high-power conversion platforms for various applications.

To be considered, candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related fields.

We offer relocation assistance for eligible North American applicants, and we are open to providing visa support, including H1B transfer, TN, and Green Card processing.

Expect around 20–25% travel, including trips to Europe and Asia.

This is not a typical engineering support role. You will focus on advanced development, prototyping, lab validation, and tackling complex high-power engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and assess high-power power conversion systems
  • Contribute to R&D, prototype development, and system architecture
  • Analyze topology, optimize efficiency, conduct thermal and EMI analysis
  • Lead lab testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation
  • Resolve technical issues and conduct root-cause analysis
  • Translate customer needs into engineering solutions
  • Collaborate with global R&D teams
  • Work on next-gen high-density power systems

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with power systems
  • Strong background in lab testing and optimization
  • Ability to work on advanced development projects
  • Interest in global engineering collaboration
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Additional Information

  • Salary: $180K–$200K
  • Bonus: 20%
  • Travel: 20–25%, including Europe and Asia
  • Relocation: Available for North American candidates
  • Visa Support: H1B transfer, TN, and Green Card candidates considered
