Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 remote) – Chicago Area: Near NW side , Blue Line Accessible
Base to $95K + ~10% bonus (paid out last 5 years straight)

The Opportunity
Join a Technical Accounting / Accounting Policy team supporting a diverse financial services platform (wealth management, leasing, banking, mortgage).
This position is largely focused on projects (~80%) and concentrated on resolving real-time accounting inquiries from the business — not just finalizing the books. Plenty of guidance will be provided.
Common scenario:
A business division introduces a new product or signs a contract → accounting treatment is unclear → you establish the appropriate GAAP treatment.
You will research, evaluate, and document conclusions that are trusted by senior management and leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate and resolve technical accounting issues (GAAP) across various business sectors
- Analyze contracts, new products, and transactions to ascertain correct accounting treatment
- Create technical accounting memos and documentation for leadership review
- Collaborate directly with senior management and business leaders to address accounting queries
- Assess and track new accounting standards (FASB, etc.) and determine implications
- Support ad hoc, high-impact accounting projects
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of public accounting experience (REQUIRED)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Solid background in audit
- CPA or CPA track preferred
- Familiarity with accounting standards (revenue, lease) during audit a bonus
