Role Summary
The Quality Manager will oversee and manage all facets of the plant’s quality function, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards, customer demands, and internal quality systems. This position is responsible for enhancing quality performance through process enhancement, system development, and effective cross-functional cooperation.
The Quality Manager will oversee and manage all facets of the plant’s quality function, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards, customer demands, and internal quality systems. This position is responsible for enhancing quality performance through process enhancement, system development, and effective cross-functional cooperation.
You will lead and develop the quality team at the site while working closely with operations, production, and clients to drive plant-wide quality performance. This role requires a proactive leader who can work with high ownership, influence, and accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
Oversee quality operations at plant level and guarantee compliance with ISO 9001 standards
Assume ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and foster continuous improvement
Act as the primary contact for customer quality needs and expectations
Lead customer qualification processes including APQP, PPAP, and FAI activities
Manage non-conformance processes such as NCR, CAR, and SCAR
Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Lead and develop the quality team at the site comprising quality engineering and inspection resources
Collaborate with operations and production teams to enhance process capability and product quality
Create and implement quality procedures, work instructions, and control plans
Conduct internal and external audits and uphold ISO certification status
Evaluate and manage supplier quality performance and qualification processes
Aid in new product introduction and ensure manufacturability and quality readiness
Qualifications
5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing setting
Experience dealing with OEM clients and their quality requirements
Proficient in ISO 9001 quality systems and standards
Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and FMEA processes
Prior experience in managing and developing quality personnel
Hands-on experience in production environments like machining, fabrication, or assembly
Strong problem-solving abilities with expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence plant operations
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
