Location: Arizona (Phoenix Metro Area)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: $165,000 – $195,000 per year (DOE)

Position Summary

The Lead Pricing Analyst is tasked with creating and assessing detailed cost estimates for large-scale civil construction projects, encompassing transportation, earthwork, and underground utility work. This role demands strong analytical abilities, extensive field experience, and the capacity to partner with diverse teams to produce precise, competitive, and top-notch proposals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Emphasize Safety as paramount in all pricing and preconstruction tasks.

  • Evaluate blueprints, specifications, geological data, and associated paperwork to outline project parameters.

  • Conduct quantity estimations using computer-based pricing tools.

  • Assess site conditions, appraise construction methodologies, and gauge equipment deployment.

  • Formulate intricate cost estimations based on labor, materials, and production with accuracy.

  • Compile and help compile proposal documents, schedules, and bid packages.

  • Collaborate closely with internal pricing, engineering, and operational teams.

  • Engage in site visits, inquiries, and team evaluations pre-bid.

  • Offer constructive insights and technical assistance during project pursuit and handover to Operations.

  • Maintain meticulous pricing records and cost archives.

  • Support regional business development units with strategic approaches and proposal presentations.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of pricing experience in large-scale road, earthwork, or subterranean utility projects.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent practical background.

  • Demonstrated leadership and pricing expertise in hefty civil undertakings.

  • Strong teamwork and self-driven with a proactive troubleshooting approach.

  • Exceptional communication skills; adept at interacting with proprietors, engineers, subcontractors, and high-level management.

  • Proficient in HCSS HeavyBid (or similar pricing software), Agtek (or related earthwork tools), Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Word.

  • Familiarity with Primavera (P6) scheduling utilities.

  • Detail-oriented with superb time management, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.

  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License and uphold a clean driving record.


Compensation & Working Conditions

  • Base Salary: $165,000 – $195,000 (DOE)

  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based with regular computer use; some travel and on-site visits required.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods; occasional standing, bending, and light lifting (5–20 lbs).
