Process Development
Crafting fresh and enhancing or refining existing manufacturing methods with an emphasis on SAFETY, QUALITY, DELIVERY, and COST (SQDC).
Setting up and handling project schedules (tasks, resources, timelines) for process development tasks.
Justifying ROI for process/machinery enhancements and updates.
Specifying, recognizing, and acquiring new manufacturing machinery for production readiness and priming machinery for production.
Crafting and optimizing process variables.
Creating/revising process documentation and operational instructions.
Helping with creation of customized tooling designs.
Factory Support
Monitoring process efficiency, cost, and process consistency and capability.
Suggesting and executing quality enhancements based on the above metrics.
Creating, testing, and maintaining automated machinery programs.
Resolving manufacturing issues (related to materials, designs, machinery, personnel) promptly.
Assisting in training new staff and contributing to development of operator training materials.
Supporting maintenance team with diagnosing and repairing process machinery.
Design Support
Standardization of products.
Understanding of complex BoM structures.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree, Engineering student, or higher in Engineering or related S.T.E.M. field.
Proficiency in CAD (e.g. Autodesk suite or Solidworks).
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with ERP systems (JDE), product code creation, routings.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 6 sigma principles for process improvement.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Flexible with scheduling when necessary.
