We are in search of a meticulous and skilled Finance Manager for our plant facility in Gallipolis, OH.
This key role entails overseeing all financial aspects of the plant, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting the financial well-being of the organization.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of various accounting areas, such as governmental, non-profit, and corporate accounting, with a focus on precision, compliance, and strategic financial management. This role provides an opportunity to lead financial processes in a dynamic setting dedicated to operational excellence and financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and organize all plant accounting operations, including managing the general ledger, reconciling the balance sheet, processing accounts payable and receivable, and handling payroll.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards like GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Manage cash flow projections, banking relationships, and cash management strategies to optimize liquidity.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, analyses, and account reconciliations to support management decisions.
- Establish and uphold strong internal controls to protect assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely completion of financial statements.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
- Utilize advanced accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms to streamline financial operations.
- Conduct technical accounting research regarding complex transactions or new regulations affecting governmental or non-profit entities.
- Assist in budgeting processes by preparing forecasts and variance analyses to monitor financial performance against organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least five years of progressive experience in accounting roles within manufacturing environments or related industries.
- Expertise in governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices.
- Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and relevant regulatory frameworks for public or non-profit entities.
- Experience in financial report writing, account reconciliations, and technical accounting research.
- Proficiency in various accounting software platforms including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and other financial tools.
- Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and adeptness in managing debits and credits.
- Experience in overseeing accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing in complex organizational structures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately and communicate findings effectively.
- Capability to lead process enhancements that boost efficiency while upholding compliance standards.
