Commercial Laundry Plant Engineer
Client is seeking a Maintenance Chief Engineer for a commercial laundry facility in Gary, IN.
Lead the maintenance team and coordinate mechanical needs across departments.
Job Overview:
Responsibility for repairing and maintaining industrial textile equipment and facility, guiding team and ensuring compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety and protect company assets
- Conduct maintenance, PMs, repairs, and installations on all plant equipment
- Assign work schedules and oversee team
- Develop procedures for preventive maintenance program and inventory control
- Monitor utilities usage and recommend cost-saving measures
- Advise on capital expenditures and equipment needs
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in Maintenance Management with expertise in machinery, electronics, plumbing, and more
- Experience in commercial laundry is essential
- Prior experience managing a PM program
- Supervisory experience required
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Skills in carpentry, welding, and facility repairs
- Team player with dedication to quality improvement
