Summary: The primary responsibility of a blood extraction expert is to support various assigned tasks, provide solutions, train others, and suggest workflow improvements.
Job Duties:
Performing blood extractions, labeling samples, centrifuging specimens, maintaining records, decontaminating, updating patient details, etc.
Collecting and storing samples following established protocols.
Clearly and politely explaining the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods as necessary. Demonstrating techniques using various needles.
Thoroughly understanding physicians' instructions, matching requisition forms with specimen tubes, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing samples for testing.
Verifying test requisitions against scripts for accuracy, and packaging specimens for transportation.
Storing samples at correct temperatures and arranging them for storage.
At least one to two years of experience is required
