The Head of Operations will be responsible for actively assessing the organization's functioning and spearheading initiatives to modernize processes, systems, technology, and business practices to enhance service, efficiency, accountability, and sustainability. Taking a proactive and innovative approach to enhance and diversify financial resources is essential, moving away from traditional funding sources. Establishing a visible and dynamic presence within the communities served is key, expanding relationships and influence. Embodying a forward-thinking leadership style while upholding organizational values and mission is crucial.
MODERNIZING OPERATIONS & ENHANCING EFFICIENCY
- Evaluate current operational and administrative processes to identify areas for improvement and modernization.
- Lead efforts to streamline organizational processes, policies, workflows, and controls.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement encouraging employees to suggest enhancements and challenge ineffective processes.
- Explore opportunities to automate administrative tasks and reduce reliance on manual systems.
- Implement technology solutions to enhance communication, data management, and organizational efficiency.
- Ensure technology investments align with organizational goals and enhance productivity.
- Develop implementation plans and provide training for new systems and processes.
- Establish and monitor operational metrics to guide decision-making.
- Benchmark practices against industry standards for continual improvement.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Adapt systems and infrastructure to meet evolving needs of stakeholders.
FUNDING STRATEGY & FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY
- Create and execute a comprehensive funding strategy to diversify revenue sources.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities across various sectors.
- Research and secure grants aligned with organizational goals.
- Explore avenues for sustainable revenue generation through new initiatives.
- Build relationships with potential funding partners and donors.
- Enhance donor engagement efforts and seek new funding sources.
- Develop compelling funding proposals highlighting organizational impact.
- Involve the Board in fundraising and resource development.
- Monitor funding landscapes for potential opportunities and risks.
- Set measurable goals for funding diversity and resource development.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & PARTNERSHIPS
- Implement a proactive community outreach strategy.
- Build relationships with various community stakeholders and partners.
- Increase awareness of programs and services among target groups.
- Develop referral networks to connect individuals with needed services.
- Participate in community events to enhance visibility.
- Forge partnerships with local businesses for support and opportunities.
- Maintain existing partnerships while seeking new collaborations.
- Communicate organizational impact through various channels.
- Enhance digital outreach for increased community engagement.
- Advocate for individuals with disabilities and their families.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of experience in the Developmentally Disabled field.
Proven leadership in an outcome-based organization.
Experience developing strategies for organizational growth.
Track record of effective interactions with families and volunteers.
Previous success working with board members.
Strong communication, financial, and marketing skills.
Action-oriented and innovative mindset.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
Experience with state and federal developmental disability services.
Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, or related fields.
