Location: Vista CA

Schedule: 6AM to 6PM Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. Shifts may vary covering different locations, with possible early morning or late evening start times. Weekends may also be required with coverage needed only once a month.

Summary:

As a phlebotomist, your primary responsibility will involve assisting in various assigned tasks, providing training, troubleshooting, and making recommendations for work flow optimization.

Position Responsibilities:

Experience in blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data recording, decontamination, patient information updates, etc. Properly explain venipuncture process and other specimen collections. Demonstrate needle techniques using straight needles or butterfly needles. Ensure compliance with all physician orders. Match requisition forms with specimen tubes. Package and store specimens correctly. Follow proper procedures for specimen transport. Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations. Attend department trainings annually. Answer phone calls and provide laboratory results when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: Valid state Phlebotomy certification, 6 months' experience in venipunctures, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, High School Diploma or GED, 1-4 years of experience.
