Lead Innovation Engineer

LOS ANGELES / HYBRID

About the Company

We are a fast-growing technology company located in the heart of West Los Angeles.

As the Lead Innovation Engineer, you will oversee and actively participate in the development of wireless technology projects.

Responsibilities:

· Manage and oversee R&D projects and programs, including system design and requirement specification.

· Create and track development schedules and tasks.

· Oversee design, simulation, software, FPGA, and testing efforts.

· Engage with customers and prepare technical materials as needed.

· Report to management for strategic planning and assessment.

· Contribute to business development and proposal preparation efforts.

Understand current technology and suggest future enhancements and strategies.

· Communicate with government and industry representatives.

Collaborate with the senior R&D team on larger projects and maintain a comprehensive technology portfolio.

Supervisory Responsibilities

· Supervise junior and senior engineers on assigned projects or programs.

Qualifications and Experience

· M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field (wireless communications, signal processing, networking, etc.).

· 10 years of experience in wireless system design and development.

5 years of experience in technical project leadership.

Experience in complete technology development cycle.

Required Skills (knowledge required, expertise desired):

· Experience with simulation and prototyping software such as C/C++, MATLAB, and Python.

· Knowledge of RF propagation, channel modeling, and digital communication.

· Understanding of wireless ad-hoc mesh networking and routing algorithms.

· Knowledge of signal processing algorithms, MIMO, OFDM, and beam-nulling techniques.

· Understanding of cognitive radio, spectrum management, and interference mitigation techniques.

Knowledge of RF sensing, signal detection, and classification techniques.

Strong technical writing, proposal preparation, and presentation skills.

Must be a U.S. person or U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.

Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.

Travel Requirements

· Infrequent travel to support customer interactions or events.

Los Angeles, CA

Compensation Range: $180k – 250k
